Chloe X Xander Litter – 5 Weeks

OMGosh!  Can you believe they are 5 weeks already?  Incredible personalities in this litter.  Every single puppy loves to be cuddled and is content to just roll around in your lap and chew on your fingers …as long as you pull them out once in a while to rub their bellies!  I am including their weights this week to give you an idea of the size differences within the litter.   Thanks for looking!

Ruby X Sporty Litter – 3 Weeks

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  The pups are 3 weeks old today.  They are so aware now of all that is going on around them.  In the morning I stick my head into the whelping box and call “Good Morning Puppies!” and they all come running to see me with their tails wagging!  I wish I could wake up like that every morning .  Enjoy the pictures and the holiday weekend!

Chloe X Xander Litter – 4.5 Weeks

Here are a few pictures from their first day outside.  They investigated everything!  I love taking the outside pictures because it gives you a chance to see how  rich the black coats are.  Inside, the camera tends to wash out the color to accentuate their features.

Chloe X Xander Litter – 4 Weeks

Wow – 4 weeks already!  These guys are really wrestling with each other now.  They are starting to come when you call them to the side of the whelping box.  A few have started getting teeth, so we introduced some milk replacer in a bowl to give Chloe a break .   Tomorrow they will start going outside for the first time.  Here are the pics:

Ruby X Sporty Litter – 2 Weeks

Here they are at 2 weeks!  All of the pups have their eyes open now.  They are up and starting to walk around a little bit.  It is truly amazing how fast they move when they smell their momma step into the whelping box!

Chloe X Xander Litter – 3 Weeks

The pups have really become aware of each other now.  They play growl and pounce.  They lick each other’s ears and paws.  When Chloe walks into the whelping box, they don’t even give her time to lay down anymore….they just jump up and grab what they want!  The progress is just amazing…

Chloe X Xander Litter – 2 Weeks

Happy Cinco De Mayo!  Chloe’s pups are growing like crazy.  They are all over one pound now, the biggest at 1lb 8 oz.  It’s really funny when she steps into the whelping box and they swarm around her.  Their eyes have just started opening, though they won’t be able to see more than light/dark until next week.  They have also just started getting up and walking…as opposed to slithering!  There is more investigation of the world around them…Black Pink Girl was licking her own paw today, and Brown Red Girl was licking my husbands neck.  I’m starting to get little whiffs of puppy breath now…my favorite !  Enjoy the pictures!

Congratulations Ruby & Sporty!!

On Saturday May 2, 2009 Ruby delivered 8 beautiful, healthy puppies.  There are 5 caramels and 3 chocolate/cafes…6 are boys.  All puppies are doing great and Ruby is taking on the role of doting mother like she was born for it!  Here is a picture of Ruby and her babies.  I will post individual pics later tonight.
