Guess What? Puppies Coming!!!

********** UPDATE 5/10/15  ************  At this time, all of these puppies are spoken for until we see exactly how many pups we are blessed with.  Thanks!   *************

Hope this new blog post finds all who follow happy and healthy! Although I am still not currently breeding, Maisy’s wonderful guardian family has chosen to have a litter with her for pups to be born mid-May to go home mid-July. She honeymooned with Toby over spring break (those crazy kids!) and our repro vet just confirmed a belly full of puppies! Genetics odds tell us that the pups should be ½ chocolate (may or may not fade) and ½ caramel/cream. We expect them to be in the 30-40lb range with soft curly/wavy fleece coats.

Maisy’s guardian home human sister is a sophomore at JMU, and is very excited to have the timing work out for them to raise this litter to help with college expenses next year. No doubt these pups will be loved, spoiled, and socialized like crazy! I will be working with them every step of the way to ensure the pups are healthy and happy. If you think that you may be interested in adopting one of these puppies, please fill out the online application on our site (http://www.delawarevalleylabradoodles.com/Application.html ) and we will get in touch with you to discuss it. I’m so excited to get a new puppy fix!

Delaware Valley Labradoodles is Taking a Break

I will be taking a hiatus from breeding for a bit as we make room to share our home with my father.  Although I will miss puppies terribly, I am really happy to be able to do this for him!  I have no litter plans for the foreseeable future.

For prospective puppy families:  If you are looking for a new puppy, try Windsor Creek Labradoodles (http://www.windsorcreeklabradoodles.com/).  Vicky and I share a few handsome puppy daddies who will still be hard at work for her, making some fabulous little puppies!  Also check out the Australian Labradoodle Association’s web site at http://alaa-labradoodles.com/.   There is some great information, and a list of other local breeders who can help you in finding the perfect Australian Labradoodle for your family.  If you contact me, I will be happy to share info on which of my breeder friends may be having litters with our awesome dads!

For my puppy families:  I am still here for you!  As always, please contact me with any questions.  And I still love updates!  If you are looking to add a puppy sibling, I will be happy to offer my help and advice.  I will always keep an internet presence….if not my full site, then at least here on WordPress, and Facebook.

For breeders:  As always, my boys love their job!  And they will still be available to my breeder friends with established programs and health tested females.  And I will add your name to our “Litter Plans” here to help other families find your awesome pups!

Mimi X Schoggi Puppies ~ 6 Weeks

Six weeks old and getting cuter every day!  Momma Mimi went home on Monday so the pups are totally on their own for eating now.  Her wonderful guardian family has promised to bring her back for a visit which I’m sure she will thoroughly enjoy as soon as the puppies realize that the milk bar is closed.  Meanwhile, they have to make due playing with Missy (our current resident 5 month old puppy) who happily takes on that job.

Mimi X Schoggi Puppies ~ 5 Weeks

I think this litter may get the award for the cleanest litter ever!  At just 5 weeks they are doing an awesome job of using their potty box consistently.  And Mimi has added playing with the pups to her list of duties.  They are all growing fast and just love climbing on any human that will sit in the box with them.

Lainey X Schoggi Puppies ~ 7 Weeks

How in the world did 7 weeks go by?  (And how in the the world is my first baby moving into his college dorm this Saturday??)  I am so loving these pups…I can actually still sit in the pen with them and it isn’t painful!  They just want to love on you with limited chewing 🙂  We take walks around the cul de sac and they have a blast chasing leaves and checking out all the fun stuff.

Mimi X Schoggi Puppies ~ 4 Weeks

The pups moved out of the whelping box and into their pen today!  So funny how much the pups love the bed when it is introduced for the first time 🙂

They also started eating goats milk and baby cereal (which they love!), and later this afternoon I put Mimi’s food bowl in to see what they would do and all of the pups starting crunching on the hard food!  I guess teeth aren’t all that important when they feel like they are ready 🙂

Lainey X Schoggi Puppies ~ 6 Weeks

Six weeks and getting bigger everyday!  Lainey went back to her guardian family today and the pups will have to settle for adult company from the other dogs.  Yesterday we went for our first big walk around the circle (they did great following) and made some new friends.  Today was a not such a pretty day and it was all I could do to get my adult dogs outside!  But the pups had fun with their little romps around the puppy room and playing on the slides.
